Removes Flakes and Stops Itching and is Still Gentle to Hair, May 19, 2012 By Olivia P. I have had seborrhea on my scalp since puberty. I have used coal tar shampoos and other medicated shampoos all these years. My scalp still itched and was very oily with those shampoos but was still better than not using a medicated shampoo at all. However, they all make your hair brittle and still don't really stop the itching. So I thought I would try this on a long shot. It works! I can't believe it. It really works. My hair is less oily but not dried out and my scalp quit itching at all--and no more constant flaking. This is really gentle and effective. I still can hardly believe it. I highly recommend this product especially for those with allergies and or special scalp conditions like me. Definitely give it a try!

However, this shampoo does exactly what it promises. They have recently improved the formula - the one sold at Amazon is the newly formulated one- to exclude water, increase the natural ingredient content and add salicylic acid to enhance exfoliation. I've recently started using this shampoo on my teenage daughter for some dandruff and it works! I'm a very discerning shopper, and like to read labels before I buy any product. After researching the ingredients of this product and confirming their safety even for daily use, I came across a study conducted by the University of Edinburgh that concluded that use of the essential oils included in this shampoo contributed to hair regrowth.
